Project Life 2011- Week 50

It may be a little weird to start sharing my Project Life layouts beginning on Week 50 of 2011, but this week was kind of a big deal for me- this was the week I went digi with my Project Life Layouts. I was getting behind (as usual), and I have been seeing a lot of inspirational PL digital layouts in blogland (including Jude's title page for 2012), so I decided to try it out for this week and see how I like it.

I REALLY liked it. It was SO much easier. And as I head into 2012, I know I want to commit to keeping up with this project, and easy is something that I need. I don't think I've mentioned it, but in addition to graphic design, I also work a full time job, and you all know by now that I have two small daughters, so time is not a luxury I come across often. I haven't formally decided, but I'm pretty sure at this point that I'm chucking my paper supplies and going digital for PL 2012. I will print my digi layouts and put them into 12x12 page protectors- this way I can still include my little "extras" each week. Including things like art projects, school work, etc is one reason I really wanted to go hybrid, and this approach will allow me to do both.

Anyway, back to Week 50, here is a close up of the left side:
On this side I included a quick recap of the week; a photo of our deflated Mickey Santa and some journaling about how Jules thought "Mickey Melted"; instagram pic of our rainy weather; journaling about a cute story of Jules in preschool; instagram pic of Jules watching Mickey cartoons on my iPhone; Jules kissing me; Lilly in her carseat, ready to pic up her sister from school; and a picture of our Elf- Ellie and a quote of a conversation Jules and I had about what Santa was going to bring me for Christmas.

Close up of the right:

On this side I included: pics of my girls getting their messages from Santa; instagram pic of some treats at Target; instagram pic of Lilly feeding herself and loving it; journaling card about Jules and her imaginary "brother" Alvin; a cute pic of Daddy and Jules shopping at the mall; a pic from Daddy's birthday; and some instragram pics of the girls in Johnny Rockets hats.

I used papers from my Candy Cane Lane paper pack, and created the journaling cards as I went.

Beautiful pages, Amy - and thanks for mentioning my page. I'm thinking we'll tempt a few people over to the digi side over the next couple of months :)

Oh how I'm SO tempted to go all the way digital, but I can't leave the hybrid style all for one :-) I'm with you though. Time is so precious and I'm behind in preserving our memories.

I'm a paper scrapbooker, but I'm doing digital project life this year. Looking forward to it, thanks for sharing yours!
