Last week was very photo intense, and this week I was able to include a little more journaling. Since our Disney trip went until Monday of this week, I was able to throw in a few more vacation photos, and my favorite- the vacation review. Each family member was interviewed about their favorite parts of the trip and it is all documented here (okay so I made up Lilly's responses).
On the left:
This side includes a few more vacation pics, the vacation review, a little journaling about Jules' return to preschool after the long break, a picture of my iPad and wine (aka relaxation) at LAX this week (I flew in and out for a work meeting), movie night, and Lilly crawling.
On the right we have Jules helping me make meatballs, my new purse, Lilly passed out in the middle of the living room, a journaling card showing the girls' age and weight (I would have done height but I didn't measure it and I was too lazy to do it today), picture of me and Lilly that Jules took, a journaling card about throwing my brother a "Nerdy 30" birthday party (he's an engineer), my sister and I in our nerdy outfits, and a pic of the birthday boy.
Caught up- it's a good feeling.

Love your layout for week 2! Love the color scheme and how you incorporated lots of journaling. Sometimes I think the journaling is more important than the pics.. really tells the story!
These pages look great! I especially like how you've included some black and white photos. Seems like it keeps it from looking too "busy". Nice work!
Lovely neutrals in your pages, did you font-erise your own handwriting to get it in there?
Thanks Caro! Actually, the handwriting font is a free font by the site kevinandamanda.com, and it's called Pea Cathi. Here's a link to their free fonts:

awesome layout! I love that you did a "nerdy thirty" bday, lol. and i so agree about being caught up. I just finished week 2 today and it let so good!
Oh I love it. It all just works. Had to follow your blog because I don't want to miss a week of your PL. Love using a print in the background, but one that doesn't overwhelm. Compliments everything on the page so nicely.
Great link-up Amy, so many handwriting fonts, Tx!
Love the vacation review - such a great idea!
Thank you everyone! I'm so happy to have you at my blog!
Fun pages. Love the journaling cards too.
Would love for you to link up your digital pages each week on my blog.

Greetings from another project lifer in Florida! ♥ Your stuff is great!
I'd love your "daybyday4x6 overlays" (as used by you on week two, also by Nic Howard on many of her layouts), but Lilypad no longer sells the product - so please let me know where you have it available now. I also have a paypal account. Thank you, and I wish you continued creativity.
